The Board of Directors is excited to announce the creation of a credential for retired certified legal nurse consultants. The purpose of the LNCC-Retired credential is to recognize years of service in legal nurse consulting and to acknowledge dedication to certification.
Retirement from active practice can take place for a variety of reasons including illness, disability, career change or choice. The LNCC-Retired designation is to recognize those certificants who would like acknowledgement of their achievement no matter which path they choose.
Eligibility Requirements
- The applicant must have been certified and working in the field of legal nurse consulting for a five-year period to be eligible.
- The applicant must be retiring from active legal nurse consulting practice with no plans to return to a full or part time position. Per Diem employment is acceptable but the use of the designation, LNCC-Retired, is not permitted in this situation.
- The applicant’s nursing license must be unrestricted.
